The Love Feast
AGAPE

Old Greek word "Agapae," means simply, Agape for the, Love Feast, which is an original predecessor of the present, ritual only, Holy Mess

Agapae is an ancient Christian term in old Roman/Greek for the Love Feast. It was not only called so but it was indeed performing in the real life such function, long time yet before, what we call today Christianity, started using the name, Christians. At the beginning this people called themselves preferably in the terms more similar to today's term, Wayfarers. They  lived their life and their love and mutual solidarity filled, Way of Life, as the unique creed and movement, rather, than particular religion. Because of this, they were often harshly persecuted by all establishments of their times; as much Jewish ones as the Roman, and many other. But despite all this, they kept spreading worldwide.

Religious organizing of "Christianity" came at much later time. often done by people having very little to do with true Christianity. Today, word, Agapae, is written rather "Agape" in accordance with the changing orthography.

Agape, meaning the Feast of Love, is an original form of what most Christians call the, Holy Mess (Holy table), or the, Holly Communion. All Agapes at meetings of ULL are physically satiating, having been an actual meal, and include also the spiritual satiation of the human body and psyche, in form of spiritual healing and the preventing of sickness by holistic healing of the body and soul as Whole Entity. Universal League knows no borders and we don't strictly adhere to any particular day for our Agapes to be held. Most usually Agape is held according to local conditions, customs, cultural conditions and, resources of the group.

According to many national laws, days of rest are, both, Sunday and Saturday (the weekends) or just one of them. either one. Friday is considered, though, a day of rest and prier at many Muslim regions. At UL, we consider principally Sunday as the rest day, although, to keep in accord with local customs and prevailing religions, other days are acceptable.

To participate in Agape one has to ask this consciously. Anyone can ask to participate. For the new member entry is only with company of person well known to at least one other participating member. Agape is not a secret society, but it is initiatory, though, and therefore only by introduction. All new members must be introduced by other member/s.

Membership fee can not be ever condition of becoming or staying a member at Universal Life League, nor at any of her branches, nor movement connected with her. The only membership due is one representing mutual help and voluntary community work. Person not prepared to do the community work as everyone else, can not become a fellow (member)of Universal Life League. New fallower must be introduced by the letter of introduction signed by at least two well known members. Universal Life League collects most funds for her needs by voluntary gifts. Most organized activities require at least some money available, as we surely are al aware. Members ought to give, though, only by drive of their own good will and conscience. If someone feels they can not afford to give, their shouldn't do so against their best interests, and therefore, also against the interest of their family.
